What is the list of “Popular Tags” on the left of the Home Page?
These tags are constantly changing to reflect the most popular tags to have been searched on Business Finder recently. You can click on any of these to initiate a search for businesses with the same tag or keyword as an alternative tool to the “Who”, “What” Where” text entry boxes.
The search results came up with businesses in my local area, even though I did not specify a location in my search, how did you do that?
Our system picks up your IP address, which reveals your geographic location. So wherever you are conducting your search from, the system aims to bring up geographically relevant search results. You are able to override this by entering a location in the appropriate field, so that for example you can find accommodation for your weekend break in London, rather than returning results for accommodation where you are located at the time of searching. You can also search by postcode/zip.
